The Multnomah County Health Department is helping organize the event, with the Oregon Health Authority and state Department of Environmental Quality participating. Portland Public Schools is providing space and technical support.

This meeting is an opportunity for neighbors in Brentwood-Darlington, Woodstock, Eastmoreland, Mt. Scott-Arleta, Ardenwald-Johnson Creek and Milwaukie to ask questions and voice concerns about air toxics.  Elevated levels of arsenic were found in tree moss samples collected by U.S. Forest Service researchers. Read more on the moss study here or on air quality here.

An open house begins with agencies and community organizations in the cafeteria at 5 p.m. with questions and answers in the gymnasium at 6:30 p.m.
