Diane McKeel reflects on her legacy Wednesday at City Club event at Kell's

Commissioner Diane McKeel will discuss her work on human trafficking, veterans services and improving services to East County at a special City Club of Portland event Wednesday, Sept. 14.

“Commissioner McKeel Reflects on her Legacy’’ will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kells Irish Restaurant and Pub, 112 SW 2nd Ave in Portland.

McKeel was elected to the Board of County Commissioners in 2008 after serving as the West Columbia Gorge Chamber of Commerce. She was re-elected in 2012.

As Commissioner of District 4, she serves east Multnomah County from S.E. 148th east to the Hood River County line. Her district includes the cities of Gresham, Fairview,  Wood Village and Troutdale.

As a dental hygienist, mother and grandmother, she has also championed health reform and improved services to families. Her talk is part of the City Club of Portland's Health and Safety Forum and is free. For  more.
