UPDATE FUGITIVE ARRESTED - Fugitive Alert, Dennis Davis

UPDATE

Dennis J. Davis was arrested early Saturday morning in Old Town China Town by Portland Police.  

FUGITIVE ALERT

OFFENDER’S NAME: Dennis John Davis

AGE:  58              

DESCRIPTION:  male,  white,   5’9”   197 lbs.   gray hair,  blue eyes

LAST AREA OF RESIDENCE:  Transient  

CONVICTIONS: He was sentenced to prison 1993 of two (2) counts of Rape I, six (6) counts of Sodomy I, and one (1) count of Kidnapping I.  The crimes were committed in 1990. The court designated him as a Dangerous Offender per ORS 161.737 at the time of his sentencing on July 12, 1993. Davis has an extensive criminal record that consists of property crimes, non-sexual violence convictions, prior stranger rape convictions (stranger cases, male and female victims) and prior sex offenses.

The Department of Community Justice has recommended sanctions to jail 11 times for parole violations since Davis was released from prison on June 12, 2015.  This is the 5th warranted requested for Davis due to non-compliance specifically related to his electronic monitoring device. He has been sent to jail 7 times for parole violations.    

WARRANT STATUS: A parole violation warrant has been issued for Davis’s arrest for failing to report to his parole officer and for allowing his electronic monitoring device battery to die.  

His last known location was near the south side of the Moda Center at around 4:00pm Tuesday, September 26.
