Records vary in complexity based on project and may include contract award records, field engineer's weekly report, time records, changes or additions to the contract, progress estimates and cost reports, job cost summaries, semi-final estimates, subcontracts, contract payrolls, affirmative action and equal employment documentation, utility and railroad records, project permits, project rights of way, legal records, photographic records, public relations records, work schedules, engineer's diaries, daily and monthly progress reports, stakes/lines/grades, bid records, insurance, narrative reports, related correspondence, and other related documentation.­

Construction Material Records (TR08-003): Record of a general nature pertaining to the evaluation of materials used in construction projects. Records include field tests, material certification, specification of material acceptance, related correspondence, and supporting documentation.­

Road Proceedings Records (TR08-010): Records documenting the official description of county roads determined by surveying and mapping county roads and city streets which are extensions or segments of county roads. Records include road surveyor field notes, field books, maps, and road registers. Information may include legal description of the road; road name and number; plans and profiles; and may also include records of the petition and resolution process and reference to corner and road monuments.­

Traffic Accident Records (TR08-004): Records documenting the study of traffic accidents. Useful in identifying hazardous locations and determining possible corrective action. Records may include various statistical data on accidents related to fixed objects, parked automobiles, complicated intersections, bridges, pedestrians, streets/highways/roads, and other factors. May also include records of individual accidents documenting site, date, direction, driver's sex and age, weather, vehicle type, and related information.­

Traffic and Traffic Control Studies (TR08-007(a) and TR08-007(b)): Records documenting data gathering and analysis concerning traffic patterns, speed, direction, and other topics. May include information on vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians for a given location and period of time. Usually includes machine and manual traffic counts, reports, summaries, and related records.­

Traffic Safety and Operations Records (TR08-005): Records include general information related to traffic control operations. Includes reports, studies, correspondence, research material, and related material.­

Traffic Sign and Signal Records (TR08-010): Records documenting the location, type, and use traffic control equipment. Often includes an inventory of all traffic signs and signal equipment. Also may include information noting the timing intervals of traffic signals for red, green, yellow, and pedestrian cycles, type of equipment, date of purchase and installation, location, notes, and other data.­
