Multnomah County employees give back on and off the clock

October 5, 2011

At Multnomah County, we have a long tradition of charitable giving. Taking pride in giving back to the community is a hallmark of the people in our region. The same can be said for the employees of Multnomah County, who come to work every day in the spirit of service and continue on in that fashion beyond the 9-to-5 workday.

This year we will be kicking off our Charitable Giving Campaign, a 10-year plus initiative that encourages county employees to donate the amount of their choice to one or more of our participating charities.

We all know that these are challenging economic times for everyone, including the county and its employees. But it’s also important to note that many of our local charities, who serve our most vulnerable citizens, have also been touched by these hard economic times.

This is why I’m encouraging Multnomah County employees and constituents alike to get into the charitable spirit and donate to one of the funds and federations listed below.

Thank you for your participation in this year’s Charitable Giving Campaign
