Multnomah County Animal Services is seeking help from the public to find an injured dog.

Ross, a black and white pitbull, was taken from Multnomah County's shelter yesterday for surgery at the Veterinary Surgical Center of Portland (10245 SW Park Way).

During a walk around 10 p.m., Ross backed out of his leash and ran off. Ross is a very sweet boy, and he needs medical attention for a digestive problem.

Animal Service and Veterinary Surgical Center staff have been out all night looking for him. He was wearing his license.

His rear-end might appear swollen, but he likely won't show other signs of injury. He has been handled by various staff at the shelter, and he has shown no signs of aggression.

If anyone sees him please notify Animal Services at 503-988-7387.
