Accessible and effective mental health care is one of the most important needs facing Multnomah County. In order to address what often may seem like a fragmented system of care, Multnomah County and Human Services Research Institute (HSRI) are conducting a study of the local mental health system.
As part of the study, we met with members of the community to learn about their experiences regarding current resources and needs, and to hear their thoughts on what a better mental health system could look like. This listening session allowed us to get feedback from many people at once, and allowed us to hear from one another. The goal was to help the County and the HSRI team understand how the system is actually working in Multnomah County so as to identify opportunities for meaningful change.
The Listening Session was held on the evening of Monday, December 11 at the Multnomah County Central Library. Click here to view photos of the session.
If you not able to attend the December 11 Listening Session and would like to deliver feedback on Multnomah County's Mental Health Care system, or if you would like to provide additional feedback, please click here to access our feedback form.
