“Shavantee Scott has been an active volunteer with the Multnomah County Health Department’s Healthy Birth Initiative (HBI) for the past four years. Shavantee currently serves as a member of the HBI Community Action Network Leadership Group and the Strategic Planning Process Work Group. She is always happy to help out with the planning, preparation and implementation of all HBI events and activities and has volunteered to staff HBI information tables at community events.
She has volunteered a youth group she works with, the Red Carpet Kids, to provide entertainment at HBI events. She went to the National Healthy Start Conference as a consumer representative and spoke with Congressional representatives about the importance of HBI services. She is an excellent program advocate who is always available to assist HBI in any way!”
