PRIOR GOVERNMENTAL EXPERIENCE: Director, Rockwood Water PUD; Former Chairman Rockwood Water Dist.; Member Budget Committee, Rockwood PUD & Rockwood Water Dist.; Budget Committee, Portland Environmental Services.
- Herb was one of the Chief Petitioners that formed the Rockwood Water Peoples Utility District in 1989-90 and served on the first Board, Rockwood Water PUD. He believes that he will serve the district well, if again elected to the Board.
- We are developing alternate water sources, i.e. two new water wells, good quality water and high volume.
- Some areas are experiencing low water pressure. We must take steps to correct this. We can reduce leakage from water mains, and install in-line pressure pumps.
- Elect Herb Brown for better representation of the people; put the ratepayers first in the Rockwood Water Peoples Utility District.
Herb is trying to the expand the PUD to vastly increase assets and customer base by annexing the Clackamas River Water District. It should go to a vote of their customers in November, 2004.
