Why did you join the MYC?

For me, inspiration comes from the collective interest and engagement of my peers. There is no better way to channel that positive energy and drive than through collaboration with my fellow MYCers.

What are your passions/hobbies?

I've always had a knack for physical freedom; running around the local park from infancy, breaking neighbor's' windows with soccer balls, and smashing a peteca over the net in front of hopeless childhood opponents. Inside, you'll find me writing on a range of topics, from the geopolitical affairs of Iceland to the travesty of the Blazer's Conference Finals loss. Elsewhere, I'm passionate about finding ways to bridge cultural divides; cultivating the next generation of diverse, motivated and connected young entrepreneurs.

Name one youth you admire and why?

I admire Jasmine Masalmeh because of her ability to identify internally and externally what really matters to her, and stay current with the programs, information and resources that help her build towards her goals. She does all of this while supporting others and being a resource to those who are still yet to find their path.

What is an issue/movement that is important to you?

One issue that I've strived to make a difference on for a while is that of Policing. How can we change law enforcement from a system that incentives enforcement and arrest, to a system that instead focuses on community and public benefit.
