The Multnomah Youth Commission continues to build working relationships and partnerships with local government agencies, school districts, and community based organizations.
This committee started the year by immediately adding their voice to existing educational initiatives.

Working with schools of all age levels exposed us to the continuum of support and involvement needed by each school, in order to successfully complete their projects.
In 09/10 the Youth Commission worked with the Mayor’s Office, Portland Public Schools, and TriMet to expand the YouthPass program to all 14,000 students in Portland Public High Schools.
YAV is currently focused on Anti-Gay and Gender, Cyberbullying, Gang Violence, Police Violence, Home Violence, School and Bullying Violence, and Sexual and Dating Violence.
