Why did you join the MYC?
I joined the MYC because the inequities in my school felt like a microcosm for what the greater world is like. Working within Multnomah county, I believe will give me a greater understanding of what larger systems are in place and how to fix them.
What are your passions/hobbies?
I have a passion for helping everything that lives on this planet. Volunteering at the Oregon Humane Society has been a long-term service of mine and environmental activism has recently became a priority as well.
Name one youth you admire and why?
Greta Thunberg is someone I admire greatly for her activism at such a young age. She has quickly became a public figure for environmentalism and is shattering false stereotypes around ableism and ageism.
What is an issue/movement that is important to you?
One issue that stands out among many others that I care about are the inequities within our public school systems. I’ve witnessed many first hand, encouraging me to fight and make it better for future students.
