Multnomah County Transportation Division is currently updating the Roads Capital Improvement Plan and Program (RCIPP). This update includes a thorough evaluation of the condition of our roads, sidewalks, bike lanes, road shoulders, signals, culverts and non-Willamette River bridges.

This Roads Capital Improvement Plan (RCIP):

  • Helps the County know how much money (capital) is needed and how to get the most from that money.
  • Builds on work that’s already happened in our community.
  • Includes projects and priorities that our community has said are important through local planning efforts.

As a resident, you are the County’s eyes and ears. Maybe you or a loved one spends a lot of time in traffic — or walks, rides buses, rides a bike, and/or uses a mobility device. It’s time to share what you know about County roads and what you need from them.

Your voice can shape what gets built five, 10 and 20 years from now. See some examples of road improvements that started with public input.

In April of 2018 we asked the public for input on where improvements are needed to our roads and we asked for help deciding how to prioritize the improvements. In February 2019 we will hold another round of public outreach to share and receive input on the prioritized list of improvements. Please join us for an open house!
