TRAFFIC ALERT: Starting Monday, April 29 through Friday, May 3rd expect traffic delays on three east Multnomah County roads for crews to remove hazardous trees. The trees that will be removed are at high risk of falling into the road. In some cases crews may leave a portion of the tree standing for wildlife, as long as it doesn’t pose a safety risk.
S.E. Stark Street
From 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day that week expect traffic delays on S.E. Stark Street between S.E. 35th Street and the Stark Street Bridge. There will be large equipment on site for this work and flaggers will be directing traffic. Expect traffic delays up to 20 minutes. Plan ahead for your commute and use alternative routes.
S.E. Kerslake Road
From 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day that week expect traffic delays on S.E. Kerslake Road between S.E. Stark Street and S.E. 302nd Avenue. There will be large equipment on site for this work and flaggers will be directing traffic. Expect traffic delays up to 20 minutes. Plan ahead for your commute and use alternative routes.
S.E. Sweetbriar Road
From 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day that week expect traffic delays on S.E. Sweetbriar Road between S.E. 282nd Avenue and S.E. Kerslake Road. There will be large equipment on site for this work and flaggers will be directing traffic. Expect traffic delays up to 20 minutes. Plan ahead for your commute and use alternative routes.

Multnomah County Transportation wants to remind drivers, cyclists and pedestrians to use caution in construction zones to keep everyone safe.
- Be patient.
- Give crews extra space.
- Obey directions from flaggers and stop when directed.
- Drivers please slow down in construction zones, crews have families to go home to at the end of the day.
