TRAFFIC ALERT: Several roads in east and west Multnomah County are closed this morning due to downed trees, power lines and icy conditions.
Roads in east Multnomah County:
N.E. 238th Drive
N.E. 238th Drive between N.E. Arata Road and N.E. Glisan Street is closed due to icy conditions and cars stuck on the road.
Buxton Road
Buxton Road between the Historic Columbia River Highway and S.E. 7th Street is closed due to icy conditions.
Clatsop Street
S.E. Clatsop Street between S.E. 162nd Avenue and S.E. 132nd Avenue is closed due to icy conditions.
Roads in west Multnomah County:
N.W. Old Germantown Road & N.W. Germantown Road
N.W. Old Germantown Road and N.W. Germantown Road are both closed between N.W. Kaiser Road and N.W. Skyline Boulevard due to downed trees and power lines.
Avoid these areas. During this winter weather event, Multnomah County Transportation Road Maintenance has closed more than 20 County roads due to downed trees, power lines and ice. Some of those roads have closed and reopened multiple times. The Road Maintenance team estimates 40-50 trees have blocked at least a portion of County roads. Road Maintenance is in 24-hour operations through Friday, Jan. 19 due to the ice storm.

Multnomah County Transportation Road Maintenance is in 24-hour operations. Crews are working 12-hour shifts to plow and sand the County’s roads.
