Stay home, stay safe and vote by mail -- with free postage!

Multnomah County Elections encourages voters to stay home, stay safe and vote by mail. Thanks to prepaid postage legislation passed in 2019 — a stamp is no longer needed. Multnomah County voters have until May 14 to safely mail back their ballot for the May 19 Primary Election. After that date, use any Official Ballot Drop Site in Oregon, to return ballots by 8:00 PM, May 19, 2020. To find your nearest official ballot drop site, visit multco.us/dropsites

Voters can sign up to track their ballot and get a virtual “I Voted” sticker. Text, email, or voice alerts tell voters when the county elections office has mailed ballots. Alerts indicate whether the ballot has been accepted for counting or whether it requires further action by the voter. Multnomah County voters can sign up by visiting multnomah.ballottrax.net. Inside the “Accepted Ballot” message, voters can access a special Oregon “I Voted” sticker that’s ready to share on social media. The virtual “I Voted” sticker is available in English and nine additional languages.

For voters needing assistance the Voting Center Express in downtown Gresham and the Multnomah County Elections Office in Southeast Portland are open for the Primary Election. Both locations are following physical distancing guidelines established by the state and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Many voter services can be completed online.
