The Southeast Water Avenue ramp on the Morrison Bridge will close Friday, May 6 starting at 8 a.m. The closure will last about four months. This is due to two projects on the bridge and the need for additional equipment space. Currently, Multnomah County is working with a contractor who is painting the bridge. Another contractor will be starting a re-striping project on the bridge. Due to weight restrictions, the painting contractor will need to move its equipment to the Water Avenue ramp so both projects can continue work on the bridge. Drivers will need to use alternative routes for the duration of this closure.
Multnomah County maintains the Morrison Bridge and five other Willamette River bridges. For more information, visit /morrisonpaint.
