Heil Electric, assisted by All Concrete Specialties and Taurus Power and Control, has begun work on this $1.024 million project to upgrade electrical service and controls for the Morrison and Burnside Bridges. The current control panels for both bridges will be replaced with new wiring and touch-screen computer systems, radio modems, fiber optics, motor controls and other components. Work began on August 6 and is expected to take about 7 months.
