In week three of the NW Cornelius Pass Road closure, the contractor is making progress at several locations where sharp curves are being realigned, while county maintenance crews repair pavement.
This week, most of the work will be focused on forming the caps and walls for Bent 1.
In the first week of the road closure, the contractor cleared vegetation and removed sections of asphalt where sharp curves in the road will be realigned. Traffic control changes were also made.
Drilling continues on SE Cochran Rd.
The Historic Columbia River Highway in downtown Troutdale between Buxton Avenue and the Sandy River Bridge will be closed on Saturday, July 20 from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. during Summerfest.
NW Cornelius Pass Road will close to through traffic between Highway 30 and NW Old Cornelius Pass Road in Washington County at 3 am on Monday, July 22.
The contractor is completing work on the south sidewalk before switching to rebuild the north side of Arata Road.

The Latourell Creek bridge on NE Latourell Road, just north of the Historic Columbia River Highway, will be closed to all traffic on Monday, July 15 from 8 am to 5 pm during drilling.
The target date for closing NW Cornelius Pass Road to through traffic for construction of safety improvements is now expected to be late Sunday night, July 20.
In the east county community of Corbett, E. Woodard Road will be closed from S.E. Nielson Road to the Historic Columbia River Highway on Thursday, July 4th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a July 4th event.
Our contractor continues to rebuild Arata Road between 223rd Ave. and 238th Drive. The contractor is building sidewalks and the traffic lane on the south side of the road.
