The week of April 15, 2019 the contractor poured concrete for new sidewalks and driveways at the west end of Arata Road in Wood Village, and continued to build the road base and work on drainage.
The contractor is installing new sidewalks on the north side of NE Arata Road as part of a complete rebuild of the road. Construction continues through this summer.
NW Rocky Point Road reopened to traffic on April 18, 2019 after a contractor completed a repair of a landslide that closed the road in February.
NW Newberry Road has reopened to through traffic in the West Hills north of Portland, after a landslide that closed the road in 2017 was repaired.
Construction resumed the week of April 8 on the rebuild of NE Arata Road in the City of Wood Village. Construction will be completed in summer 2019.
Contractor Tapani Inc. has excavated a landslide, built a retaining wall and road base, paved the road and is completing final tasks before the road reopens in mid April.
Contractor Wildish Standard Paving is scheduled to resume construction on NE Arata Road between NE 223rd Ave. and NE 238th Drive in the cities of Fairview and Wood Village starting Monday, April 8.
NW Newberry Road in the hills north of Portland is expected to reopen to traffic in April after being closed for more than two years by a landslide. A contractor is constructing repairs this spring.
This will require a single-lane closure each day. Flaggers will be present and directing traffic.
A contractor has begun a repair of a landslide that closed a rural section of NW Newberry Road in the hills northwest of Portland in 2017. The road is expected to reopen at the end of March.
