This week the contractor built entrances to the construction zone, confirmed locations of underground utilities and set up erosion control. Arata Road will become a one-way street in early June.

The north lane of NE Sandy Blvd. has been paved with a base course , while work continues at the new driveway from Sandy Blvd. to Townsend industrial park in Wood Village.
Installation of temporary construction signs was completed this week. Trench work begins the week of May 21. The road will become one-way in late May or early June, for construction only.
Utility work for a PGE overhead transmission line will impact traffic at the intersection of NE Halsey Street and NE Fairview Parkway in the City of Fairview the week of May 21 – 25 from 9 am to 3 pm.
Utility work for a Portland General Electric overhead transmission line will impact traffic on NE Sandy Blvd. west of NE 223rd Ave. May 14 – 19 from 9 am to 3 pm.
Construction continues on the north side of NE Sandy Blvd. in Wood Village between NE 230th Ave. and the Wood Village mobile home park. Paving may begin as soon as May 18.
For the week of May 14 Work activities will include setting up traffic control, erosion control and beginning to clear vegetation for underground pipe work.
