UPDATED: Westbound traffic lanes close Wednesday night, Aug. 7, and Thursday night, Aug. 8. Eastbound lanes close starting next week.
TRAFFIC ALERT: Tonight, on Friday, Aug. 2 starting at 7 p.m., the Hawthorne Bridge will close to all motorized vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians for bridge repairs.
TRAFFIC ALERT: On Friday, July 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. expect up to 20-minute traffic delays for ongoing work on the Hawthorne Bridge.

The Hawthorne Bridge and the Morrison Bridge will close to motorized vehicles Tuesday, July 4 for the Waterfront Blues Festival fireworks show.
On Friday, June 21st from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. the south sidewalk on the Broadway Bridge will be closed for a photo shoot. All other traffic lanes remain open during this event.
On Sunday, June 23rd the Hawthorne Bridge will be closed to all motorized vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for maintenance work.
TRAFFIC ALERT: On Monday, June 10 starting at 6:00 a.m. the south eastbound vehicular lane on the Hawthorne Bridge will be closed for bridge repairs.
